Soular Tattoo was founded by long-time Christchurch tattoo artist Matt Parkin after his original studio, Southern Ink, was destroyed in the February 2011 earthquake. Following some time travelling, Matt returned to New Zealand and established Soular Tattoo in 2013, building a studio focused on quality tattooing, creativity and genuine customer care.

Our team brings years of experience across a wide range of tattoo styles, with a strong focus on Black and Grey, Realism, Fine Line, Ornamental, Colour and Traditional tattoos. Our apprentices and junior artists are taught the craft properly, with an emphasis on skill, technique and experience.
